In this blog post, we will review the process of configuring business email provided by Baldwin Digital on your PC and mobile devices using the most common email software applications.

Use An Email Application For Easier Access & Notifications
You can also use other email applications if you wish such as Samsung Email, Mac Mail and Thunderbird, the graphic user interface (GUI) on these applications may look a little different but as long as you use the settings below, everything should work fine.
We recommend testing both the inbox and sent items by receiving an email to your new business email account and sending a test email to an external email account to make sure the email has been sent.
Choose Your Email Application
Setting Up Your Business Email Using Microsoft Outlook On Your PC
Step 1. Open Outlook
Step 2. Click file (on the top left hand corner)
Step 3. Click the add account button
Step 4. Enter email address –> click advanced options –> tick the box for “let me setup my account manually” and then click on the blue connect button below.
Step 5. On the next page select the IMAP option
Step 6. On the next page, select the following;
Username: This is your email address (for older Outlook versions)
Incoming mail server/host name: mail.baldwindigital.ie
Port: 993
Encryption method: SSL/TLS
Un-tick box for “require login using secure password authentication (SPA)”
Outgoing (SMTP) mail server/host name: mail.baldwindigital.ie
Port: 465 or 587 (465 preferably)
Encryption method: SSL/TLS
Un-tick box for “require login using secure password authentication (SPA)”
Click on the next button.
Step 7. Enter password and click on the blue connect button
Step 8. Once you see the account successfully added, you can un-tick the box “let me setup the account manually” and also un-tick the box for “set up Outlook Mobile on my phone, too” and then click on the blue button that displays done.
Setting Up Your Business Email Using Microsoft Outlook On Android Or iOS
Step 1. Open Outlook app
Step 2. Tap on the add account button to create your new email account
Step 3. Add your email address under “Enter your email” and tap on the blue button to continue.
Step 4. Tap on IMAP option at the bottom
Step 5. On the next screen, add the following;
Email Address: Enter your email address.
Password: Your email address password you are trying to add.
Display Name: Add your business name (for example, Baldwin Digital Ltd).
Description: This field is optional, whatever suits you to recognise the email account (this field isn’t seen by others).
Tap on advanced options to enable it and further options will be open below this window.
Step 6. Under IMAP Incoming Mail Server, add the following;
IMAP Host Name: enter mail.baldwindigital.ie
Port: 993
Security type: Select SSL/TLS
IMAP Username: Enter your email address
IMAP Password: Enter the password for your email account.
Under SMTP Outgoing Mail Server, add the following;
SMTP Host Name: Enter mail.baldwindigital.ie
Port: 465 or 587 (preferably 465)
Security type: Select SSL/TLS
IMAP Username: Enter your email address
IMAP Password: Enter the password for your email account.
Step 7. The email has been added now and you have the option to add another or select “maybe later” to finish the setup.
Setting Up Your Business Email Using Apple iOS
Step 1. Open Apple’s email client application by navigating to Settings –> Scroll down to Mail (older versions of iOS will show Accounts & Passwords) –> Accounts –> Add Account.
Step 2. Select Other at the bottom.
Step 3. Tap Add Mail Account under Mail.
Step 4. Under New Account, add the following;
Name: Add your business name
Email: Add your email address
Password: Your password for your email account
Description: The description field is optional, whatever suits you to recognise the email account (this field isn’t seen by others).
Step 5. Select IMAP –> Name, Email & Description (should be filled in from previous screen).
Under Incoming Mail Server, add the following;
Host Name: Enter mail.baldwindigital.ie
Username: Your email address
Password: Your email account password
Under Outgoing Mail Server, add the following;
Host Name: Enter mail.baldwindigital.ie
Username: Your email address
Password: Your email account password
Step 6. Make sure Mail below is enabled –> Notes disabled as default is fine unless you wish to have it enabled –> Tap on save and your email account will be now added.
